Suspect Fails to Stop After Striking Child
Los Angeles: The police department is seeking the public's help in identifying the driver of a car that killed a child last night.
On Thursday, December 15, 2005, at about 6:30 p.m., LAPD traffic officers responded to a fatal hit and run traffic collision at Rodeo Road and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
According to witnesses, a nine-year-old boy was crossing Rodeo Road near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, when he was hit by a car that was going westbound on Rodeo Road.
The suspect was last seen turning left on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard from Rodeo Road. The suspect is described as a female Hispanic driving a 1970's red, maroon, or burgundy car possibly a Lincoln or a Ford.
The nine-year-old child was taken to a local hospital where he died a short time later.
