Why:
On November 17, 2006, Villanueva and Munoz were crossing the street at Figueroa and Slauson when they were confronted by a suspect accompanied by a female companion. For an unknown reason, the male suspect stabbed both victims. Villanueva collapsed on the railroad tracks just north of Slauson Avenue and died. Munoz survived his injuries.
