$75,000 Reward Offer

What:
News Conference to announce a $75,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of a murder suspect wanted in the death of Ronmel Villanueva, and the attempted murder of his brother, Oblyn Munoz.

When:
Tuesday, December 19, 2006

Northwest corner of Figueroa Street and Slauson Avenue

Family members of the victim

Why:
On November 17, 2006, Villanueva and Munoz were crossing the street at Figueroa and Slauson when they were confronted by a suspect accompanied by a female companion. For an unknown reason, the male suspect stabbed both victims. Villanueva collapsed on the railroad tracks just north of Slauson Avenue and died. Munoz survived his injuries.
