Woman Shot and Killed During Attempted Robbery
Los Angeles: Los Angeles police are searching for suspects who fatally shot a 28-year-old woman during an attempt robbery yesterday evening in South Los Angeles.
The incident happened around 10:00 p.m., when police were dispatched to a burglary and shooting in progress radio call in the 2100 block of East 112th Street.
According to police, Almira Herrera, confronted two men who walked onto to her family’s property attempting to rob their home. After a brief argument, a fight broke out, and one of the men pulled out a handgun and shot Herrera.
Herrera was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center where she later died.
Police have few leads and only described the suspects as Black males.
The motive of the shooting appears to be robbery.
