LAPD Cops for Tots Christmas Party at Children’s Hospital

Why: For the past 14 years, officers from Central Traffic Division has offered its support to
the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Unit at Children’s Hospital.
Cops for Tots is a non-profit organization that was formed to raise funds to assist
hospitals meet some of its needs. Since its inception in 1995, the organization has
raised over $200,000 for this heart-felt cause.
Every year, Cops for Tots and Children’s Hospital organizes a holiday
party for young BMT patients and their families.
Santa Claus will be driven to the hospital in a SWAT armored emergency vehicle.
Once at the hospital, children and their parents will be treated to a holiday party.
After the party, officers will escort Santa Claus through the hospital and into the
BMT Unit, where Santa will deliver presents to the young patients.
