High Tech and Good-Old-Fashion Police Work Nets 7 Criminals Behind Bars

What:
News conference to announce yesterday’s significant arrest of 7 different suspects involved in four separate crimes throughout Los Angeles.

When:
Monday, December 22, 2008 1:00 p.m.

Where:
Parker Center (breeze way)
150 North Los Angeles Street
Los Angeles, CA  90012

Who:
Deputy Chief Charlie Beck, Commanding Officer Detective Bureau
Captain Joel Justice, Commanding Officer Real Time Analysis and Critical Response Division (RACR)

Why:
During a four hour period on Sunday, Los Angeles police officers combined good “old fashioned” with “high tech” police work, netting several violent offenders. Suspects attempting to elude police proved to be no match for electronic monitoring, real time analysis, and the keen nose of a police dog.
