What: News conference to announce a Los Angeles City Council-approved reward of $50,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the senseless murder of Kendrick Blackmon.

Victim’s Family Members
Why: To assist detectives with their investigation by providing an incentive for witnesses or others with information about the incident to come forward. The murder occurred on April 21 of this year when Blackmon was shot from another car while driving down the street. Blackmon had no criminal history or gang affiliations, and the motive has remained unknown. Detectives have also exhausted their leads.
