Pornography Unit
The Pornography Unit at Detective Support and Vice Division is the only local agency, which investigates the distribution of obscenity full time. The unit investigates the distribution of obscenity (illegal pornography), the advertising of obscene matter, commercial use of a minor as a pornographic model, the commercial distribution of child pornography in all media forms and adult entertainment establishments. The Pornography Unit monitors and assists in investigating filming location violations, harmful matter violations, adult video segregation violations, news rack violations, violations at adult entertainment locations, picture arcade violations and violations in the disclosure of the origin of a videotape.
