Outstanding Community Member
Michael Dobry was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. A professional landscaper by trade, he resides in Porter Ranch with his wife and son.
Michael has always been very involved with various public service agencies. He is a very generous individual by nature and has always found a way to give back to the community, often excelling in voluntarism efforts.
Michael’s volunteer services began in 1990 in the Mountain Bike Unit under the directions of the State Park Services. Then in 2004, he became fully vested in local activities and became a very valuable partner for City Council District Twelve, for Devonshire, Foothill and Valley Traffic Divisions of the Los Angeles Police Department and for the West Valley Alliance Graffiti removal services.
Michael’s tireless efforts and tenacity earned him honorable positions within several Los Angeles Police Departments support organizations including the Supporters of Law Enforcement in Devonshire, the Foothill Area Booster Association, the Volunteer Surveillance Teams at Devonshire and Foothill Areas, the Valley Traffic Advisory Council, the Devonshire Police Activity League Supporters, and the Devonshire Community Police Advisory Board.
To say the least, Michael is a very valuable asset to the local community and the Devonshire Area of the Los Angeles Police Department wishes to extend the most sincere form of gratitude for all his efforts and dedication.
