Dick Ashnault moved to California in 1959. He became a member of the Jaycees, being named President of the North Hollywood Jaycees in 1960. He stayed actively involved with the North Hollywood and North Hills Jaycees. In 2008, the Jaycees honored Dick by naming him “Honorary Lifetime Member.”
Dick has been an active member of the Chatsworth, Granada Hills and Northridge Chambers of Commerce. In 2010, Dick was named “Honorary Sheriff” of Northridge, for his business and community leadership.
Dick has been a member of the Devonshire PALS Board for the last 15 years. He has served in almost every position, from President to Parliamentarian. He was an instrumental team member that raised millions of dollars for the construction of the Greig Smith LAPD Devonshire Youth Center. Dick also is a major volunteer in the Devonshire PALS Golf Tournament and the PALS Toy Giveaway and has been instrumental in raising funds and being a mentor to the Devonshire Cadets.
Dick is a respected business and community member and a friend to everyone at the Devonshire Area Community Police Station. He is the owner of Golf Promotions and Hightech Signs & Banners. He has lived in Northridge, with his wife Joy, since 1968. |
