Devonshire Area experienced a decrease in crime during 2005. Total Violent Crime was reduced 28%, Total Property Crime was reduced 13%, and Total Part 1 Crime was reduced 15%. By setting clear goals and implementing new and proven strategies, Devonshire Commanding Officers are confident the below listed goals can be met or exceeded. Devonshire Area, Patrol, Detectives, Vice, Senior Lead Officers, and the Gang Impact Team are up for the challenge to further reduce crime. Continued community support will be instrumental in goal achievement. Partnership with the community will be enhanced through our vibrant Neighborhood and Business Watches, our C-PAB, and Neighborhood Councils. We will also continue to keep the community informed through these venues, as well as our monthly Cable television show, "LAPD on the Move," conceived and implemented through the efforts of our Senior Lead Office.
