San Fernando Valley Community Summit Aims to Reduce Crime and Gang Violence

San Fernando Valley Community Summit

  • Elected Officials
  • Religious Leaders
  • Business and Community Members

Why:
The Los Angeles Police Department, along with businesses, schools and faith groups are meeting to make a difference in our community.

Goals of the Summit include:

  • Identify the needs of at-risk youth and discuss solutions for crime and gang violence
  • Establish a forum for gang members to meet and discuss a common truce
  • Identify and collaborate the resources of law enforcement and governmental agencies, local businesses, faith based organizations, schools, and non-profit community groups
  • Publicize and distribute a divisional and regional crime prevention and intervention resource guide
  • Engage neighborhood councils to improve quality of life issues and relationships with law enforcement
