"Father kills Daughter's boyfriend in Dispute"

Panorama City - On Thursday, June 15, 2000, at 4:45 p.m., Victim Nicole Bell, female Black, 21 years of age, and her father, Lincoln Bell, male Black, 54 years of age, were engaged in a heated discussion at their residence, located on the 9800 Block of Vesper Avenue, in Panorama City. Ms. Bell's boyfriend, Iban Smith, male Black, 27 years of age, arrived at the residence and became involved in a physical altercation with Lincoln Bell.

Lincoln Bell armed himself with a handgun and shot Iban Smith once in the chest. The police were summoned to the residence, where Lincoln Bell surrendered without incident.

Iban Smith died as a result of his injuries.
