Man Died While Driving

Los Angeles:  Valley Traffic Detectives are investigating the death of a 55-year-old resident of North Hills.

On Saturday, April 11, 2009, at around 11:15 p.m., the victim, a male White was driving a Ford Crown Victoria westbound on Rinaldi Street, East of Wilbur Avenue when he hit a parked Honda Odyssey before crashing into a tree.

The 55-year-old driver was not wearing a seatbelt and died at scene as a result of his injuries.  The drivers name is being withheld pending notification next of kin.

Los Angeles Police Department Valley Traffic Division detectives are handling the investigation.  Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Detective Jackson at 818-644-8115 or Detective Bustos at 818-644-8021.  During off-hours, calls may be directed to a 24-hour, toll-free number at 1-877-LAPD-24-7 (527-3247).  Callers may also text “Crimes” with a cell phone or log on to www.lapdonline.org and click on Web tips. When using a cell phone, all messages should begin with “LAPD.”  Tipsters may remain anonymous.
