Tone-Loc Arrested for Cohabitant Abuse

LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Tuesday, February 16, 1999

On Friday, February 12, 1999, at 10:40 a.m., Los Angeles Police Officers from Wilshire Division responded to a radio call of an Assault with a Deadly Weapon in the Mid-Wilshire Area.

The Officers investigation revealed that Anthony Terrell Smith, also known as Tone-Loc in the music industry, a resident of the Mid-City Wilshire Area, is alleged to have assaulted his live-in girlfriend using bodily force. The victim appeared to be in good condition and did not receive medical treatment at the scene.

Mr. Smith was arrested for Cohabitant Abuse without incident and booked at Wilshire Jail. His arraignment date is scheduled for March 12, 1999, at 8:30 a.m.
