LOS ANGELES POLICE DEPARTMENT
PRESS RELEASE
Friday, February 26, 1999

West Valley Homicide Detectives are releasing a composite drawing of one of the two suspects involved in the February 8, 1999, robbery/murder of 30 year old Woodland Hills resident Christopher Lynn Rawlings. Mr. Rawlings was killed when he was ejected from the trunk of his Bentley after the suspects crashed the car into a telephone pole.

The depicted suspect is described as a male African-American, in his 20's, medium complexion, very short black hair, 5'10-6'0, and 160 pounds. He sustained injuries in the traffic collision.

Also depicted is a 1994-1998 emerald green Ford Mustang with a tan convertible top. A vehicle similar to the one depicted was seen being driven by one of the suspects two days after the murder. The suspect was observed searching an area in Reseda where police later recovered property that had been stolen from Rawlings during the robbery.

Additionally, two outstanding Rolex watches, which were taken in the robbery, are depicted. One of the watches has diamonds on the face, bevel, and band.

For media inquires and anyone with information regarding this murder please contact Detective Rick Swanston, West Valley Homicide at 818-756-8546 during business hours, or 213-485-2504, during evenings and weekends.
