Homicide Investigation

 

Los Angeles: On Sunday morning, February 11, 2001, at approximately 9:30a.m., Amanda Elizabeth Paxton, 16 years of age, was discovered dead by Motel staff in room 213 of the East West Motel. The motel is located at 7101 South Vermont Avenue. The victim had sustained a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead as a result of her injuries.

The person(s) responsible are unknown, the weapon has not been located and the motive has not been established.

77th Street Detectives are conducting the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detectives Rocky Sato and Mason Burroughs at 213-485-1385 or the information can be given to the Watch Commander anytime at 213-485-2389.
