Murder Investigation

 

Los Angeles - On Monday, February 12, 2001, at 1:25 a.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an "ADW/ Shots Fired, Just Occurred" in the 12700 block of Encinitas Avenue, in Sylmar. Upon arrival at the scene, the officers discovered the body of a male White, deceased inside a room at the Motel Six. The victim died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds. The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of his next-of-kin.

The investigation revealed the shooting was narcotics related and the suspect(s) is/are outstanding.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking the assistance from the community, asking witnesses with any information to contact Foothill Area Detectives C. Lenane, J. Martinz, J. Morales, R. Rodriguez, and R. Broker, at 818-834-3115, or 818-756-8861 during evening hours.
