Homicide Investigation

" Homicide Investigation"

 

Los Angeles - On Sunday, February 18, 2001, at approximately 8:10 a.m., Kenneth Jerome Buckley, age 32, was seated in his vehicle, stopped on the street in front of 1355 E. 43rd Street with the engine running. He was approached by unknown suspect(s) who fired into the vehicle several times. After the victim was shot, his vehicle surged forward colliding with a vehicle parked in front of him. Residents in the area who heard the shots, ran to the scene turned the ignition off to the victim's vehicle, and called the paramedics. Responding paramedics pronounced death at the scene.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. The motive for the shooting has not been established.
