Fatal Traffic Collision Investigation

Los Angeles - On Friday, February 23, 2001, at 5:45 p.m., a fatal traffic collision occurred at Gothic Avenue and Germaine Street, in Granada Hills.

A 95 Ford Ranger, driven by a seventeen year-old male, was travelling northbound Gothic Avenue when it collided with a green, 98 Dodge Neon that was making a u-turn on Gothic Avenue.

The driver of the Dodge Neon, Robert Greening, 22 years old of Granada Hills, was transported to Granada Hills Hospital, where he died due to blunt force trauma.

The juvenile driver of the Ford Ranger was booked at Van Nuys Jail for felony manslaughter, and then released to his father.

Valley Traffic Division detectives are conducting the investigation.
