Homicide Investigation

 

Los Angeles: On Friday, February 23, 2001, at 10:40 p.m., Foothill Area patrol officers responded to a radio call of an "ADW, Ambulance Enroute, Shots Fired, Just Occurred" in the 13100 block of Terra Bella Street in Pacoima. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male Hispanic down at the scene, the victim of a shooting. Paramedics responded and transported the victim to a local hospital. The victim died at the hospital. The victim was identified as Alan Figueroa, a 19-year-old resident of Panorama City.

The investigation revealed the shooting was gang related. The suspects and the victim were involved in a dispute earlier in the day. The follow up investigation resulted in the arrest of three suspects for Murder. Eddy Perez 18-years-old, Gabriel Ceja 20-years-old and Jorge Ayala 18-years-old. All three suspects are residents of Pacoima.

The Los Angeles Police Department is seeking assistance from the community, asking witnesses call 818-834-3115 or 818-834-3102, during daytime hours. Evening phone number 818-756-8861.

Foothill Area Detectives C. Lenane, J. Martinez, and R. Rodriguez are handling the investigation.
