Homicide Detectives Investigate Korean-Related Murder

 

Los Angeles: Wilshire Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of a 50 year-old male Korean.

On Sunday, February 9, 2003 at approximately 1:05 a.m., Wilshire Area patrol officers responded to a Domestic Violence call in the 1200 block of Fedora Street. Upon arrival, the officers observed an unidentified female Korean in front of the above location, suffering from a head injury. The female was transported to a local hospital. The officers entered the above location to check for additional victims and found an unidentified male Korean dead at the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

Wilshire Homicide Detectives responded and conducted an investigation. The suspect was located approximately one block away from the above location. The suspect has been identified as Sung Yeol Yoon, a male Korean. The suspect was arrested for 187 (A) P.C. (First-Degree Murder). He has a $1,000,000 bail.
