"Man Walking In Alley Is Shot And Dies At Local Hospital"

Los Angeles: On Friday, February 14, 2003, at approximately 5:00 p.m., Southeast Area Patrol Officers responded to a shooting call in the area of 110th Street and Hoover Street. The officers discovered a male victim had indeed been shot and was transported to an area hospital. Unfortunately the victim failed to respond to emergency treatment and died as a result of his injuries.

The investigation revealed the victim was walking in the north/south alley just west of Hoover Street at 110th Street. Unknown suspect(s) approached and shot him. The victim was able to run to a nearby residence where he was driven to the hospital.

The victim is a Black male in his early thirties and is currently unidentified. No motive for the shooting has been established.
