Los Angeles: On Thursday, February 20, 2003, at approximately 3:00 p.m., actor David Hasselhoff was riding his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard near the 405 freeway underpass with his wife, Pamela Hasselhoff, as the rear passenger.

While going through the underpass, Hasselhoff was struck by a powerful gust of wind, which caused him to loose control of his motorcycle. While attempting to regain control of the motorcycle, Hasselhoff collided with the curb. Both Hasselhoff and his wife were thrown from the motorcycle. Hasselhoff then collided with a light standard where he came to rest. His wife landed in the soft shoulder of the roadway.

Both were subsequently transported to UCLA Medical Center by Los Angeles Fire Department Paramedics.

David Hasselhoff fractured his lower back and possibly several ribs along with various minor abrasions and contusions. Pamela Hasselhoff possibly fractured her left ankle and right wrist and also received various abrasions and contusions. They are listed in stable condition.

The on-scene investigation was conducted by West Traffic Division officers.
