Ditching Party Ends In Brutal Attack

Los Angeles: On Monday, January 26, 2004, at about 4:20 p.m., patrol officers from the Hollywood Division responded to a radio call, "Woman Down" in the 1100 block of Ardmore Avenue. When the officers arrived, they saw a 15 year-old girl lying on the sidewalk, unconscious. Los Angeles City Fire Department paramedics arrived and took the victim to a local hospital where she was listed in critical condition. The victim appeared to be suffering from alcohol poisoning and had been brutally sexually assaulted.
The victim was a high school student who had attended a "ditch party" where she drank too much alcohol. The victim lost consciousness, and several male juveniles at the party brutally sexually assaulted her.
At this time, three juveniles, ages 15, 16 and 17 have been arrested and petitions have been filed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.
