Child Safety Device Act of 2004

 

WHAT: News Conference

WHO: United States Senator Barbara Boxer, Los Angeles City Mayor James K. Hahn, Los Angeles Police Commissioner Alan Skobin, Los Angeles Police Assistant Chief Jim McDonnell

WHEN: Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at 10:00 a.m.

WHERE: 77th Street Police Station, 7600 South Broadway, Los Angeles

Los Angeles: The Office of United States Senator Barbara Boxer and the City of Los Angeles will be holding a news conference to announce gun safety and related legislation.

Senator Boxer is introducing a Bill to amend chapter 44 of title 18, United States Code, to require the provision of a child safety device in connection with the transfer of a handgun and to provide safety standards for child safety device.
