27 Year-Old Man Shot and Killed

 

Los Angeles: On Monday, February 24, 2004, at about 6:35 p.m., patrol officers from the Los Angeles Police Department, Hollywood Division, responded to a shooting call in the area of the 5300 block of Russell Avenue.

Upon the officers’ arrival, they observed a 27 year-old man down on the street with a gunshot wound. Los Angels Fire Department Paramedics responded and took the victim to a local hospital where he died.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the victim became involved in a fight with two to three Hispanic men. The victim was shot during the fight and the suspects got away in two cars. The suspects are described only as Hispanic men in their 20’s. The suspects’ cars are described as a possible dark-colored Nissan X-terra, or similar SUV, and a white sedan.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification to his family. The motive for the shooting has not been established at this time.
