1 Year-Old Boy Abducted By His Father

 

Los Angeles: Rampart Division Detectives are requesting the media's assistance by providing the public with the following information about an abducted 1 year-old boy.

On Friday, February 4, 2005, Luis Alberto Cosme, came to the Los Angeles area to visit Aida Jimenez and their 1 year-old son, Edwin Natanael Cosme Jimenez. On Saturday, February 5, 2005, at around 9:00 a.m., Luis Alberto Cosme told Edwin's mother that he was going to take their son for a walk. When the young boy and his father did not return to her apartment, Ms. Jimenez filed a missing persons report at the Rampart Police Station. After Saturday's abduction, she received a phone call from Luis Alberto Cosme who implied that he had taken Edwin to Mexico. She also told the investigating detectives that the suspect might have taken Edwin to Oaxaca, Mexico, West Virginia or Tennessee.

Suspect Luis Alberto Cosme, born 11-04-68, is described as a 36 year-old male Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes, standing 5'8" tall and weighing 160 pounds. He has a thin build, light complexion and was last seen wearing a gray tee shirt and blue jeans. Registered in the suspect's name, is a green 1998 Ford Contour 4-door, West Virginia license plate OET225. The missing juvenile, Edwin Natanael Cosme Jimenez was born on 03-12-03, is a male Hispanic, with brown hair, brown eyes approximately 28" tall and weighs approximately 25 pounds. The small child has a medium build and was last seen wearing a yellow shirt with blue pants.
