Gang Shooting Claims 21 year-old

 

Los Angeles: On Friday, February 11, 2005, at about 10:20 p.m., a gang related shooting claimed the life of 21 year-old Jessie Garcia.

Hollenbeck Officers responded to a "Screaming Woman" radio call, at Huntington Drive and Portola Avenue ." The officers found a female Hispanic in a dark colored Ford Explorer stopped at the intersection. The victim, Jessie Garcia, was in the back seat suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The female driver told the officers that she found the victim on the sidewalk and was taking him to the hospital. Officers called for an ambulance and a Los Angeles City Fire Rescue Ambulance responded to the location and pronounced the victim dead at the scene.
