Robbery Turns Deadly

Los Angeles: Wilshire detectives are investigating the attempt murder/robbery of a 35-year-old resident of Los Angeles.

On Saturday, February 4, 2006, at about 3:15 a.m., the victim, a 35-year-old resident of Los Angeles, was standing in the parking lot at 6th Street and Serrano Avenue.  Three Hispanic men approached the victim and demanded his wallet.  The victim fearing for his life ran away but was caught by the suspects. The suspects grabbed him and shot him several times in the head and chest.  All three suspects were last seen leaving the location in a white compact car.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he died.  The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the family.

The suspects are described as three Hispanic men about 18-20 years of age.
