Members of LAPD Perform in C'OPERA, a Dance Opera at the Historic Los Angeles Police Academy

What:
C'OPERA, a Dance Opera at the Historic Los Angeles Police Academy in Elysian Park

When:
Thursday, February 9th, through Sunday, February 12th, 2006
Thursday, February 16th, through Sunday, February 19th, 2006

Saturday shows begin at 8:00 p.m.
Sunday shows begin at 7:00 p.m.

Where:
Los Angeles Police Academy in Elysian Park
1880 North Academy Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90012
(Shows will begin in the Gymnasium)

Why:
During the show, performers will give the audience an inside and untraditional look at the experience of a police officer recruit and lead spectators from the Gymnasium, to the Rock Garden, the Coffee Shop and to the Bonus Firing Range.

The Collage Dance Theatre is a site-specific performance company that has presented shows in the L.A. River, the Subway Terminal Building, the Ambassador Hotel and 40 other non-traditional sites around Los Angeles.

The dancers will be joined by members of the Los Angeles Police Department, for this one-of-a kind performance.
