79-Year-Old Missing Elderly Woman

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating Mei Sang Shih who was last seen in the 800 block of South Stanley Avenue in the Wilshire district.

On February 9, 2006 at 4:30 PM Mei Shih, who has been staying with family members, had gone for a walk.  Shih normally walks every day for 20 minutes and on this particular day, she never returned.

Mei Sang Shih is described as a female Chinese, 79 years old, with white hair and brown eyes.  She is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds.  She was last seen wearing a brown and green Aztec pattern fleece jacket, black pants, and blue and white Sketcher sneakers. 

Ms. Shih has no major medical problems, but does suffer from bad hearing.  She speaks only Mandarin and answers to the name "Bo Bo."

Anyone with information regarding Mei Shih is urged to call Wilshire CommunityPolice Station at 213-473-0476.  On weekends or during off-hours the public may contact the toll free-24 hours tip line at 1-877-LAW FULL (1-877-529-3855).
