Sobriety Check Point

What:
South Traffic Division will be conducting a sobriety checkpoint.

When:
Saturday, February 18, 2006
5:30 p.m.

Where:
The checkpoint will be located on Florence Avenue between Towne Avenue and San Pedro Street, this location has been identified as one of three of greatest risk in 77th Area.

Why:
Impaired drivers continue to kill nearly 50 people a day and almost 18,000 a year. This operation will be conducted in an effort to reduce the injuries and deaths as a result of driving and driving.
