Burned Body Found in Sun Valley

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a burned body found at the 11100 block of Randall Street in the Sun Valley Area.

On February 20, 2006, at about 6:30 AM, a local resident saw the burned body in the alley to the rear of 9100 block of DeGarmo Avenue and called the police.

According to investigators, the victim was a female of unknown ethnicity, with bleached blonde hair.  She was wearing rings on her fingers and bracelets on her left arm.  The victim was wearing a brown coat and was carrying a purse with 2-inch circular yellow metal medallions on a black shoulder strap.

The community is asked to call Foothill Homicide Detectives at 818-834-3115 or 818-756-8861. On weekends and during off-hours, call the 24-hour toll free number at 1-877-LAWFULL (529-3855).
