85-year-old Woman Missing

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department is asking the public's help in locating Mercedez Camarena, who left her home located at 3434 Lee Street in Los Angeles this morning around 6:30 AM.

Ms. Camarena is suffering from Alzheimer’s, and is often disoriented. She is of Hispanic decent, 5 feet tall, and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and was wearing a brown veil, beige sweater, brown skirt and only speaks Spanish.

Ms. Camarena's possible destination was to Resurrection Church located at Lorena Avenue and Opal Street in East Los Angeles.

Anyone who has seen Ms. Camarena is asked to call the Hollenbeck Area Watch Commander at 323-266-5964. After hours and on weekends you can call the 24-hour toll free Detective Information Desk can be contacted by dialing 1-877-LAWFULL (1-877-529-3855).
