Armed Robbery Suspect Dressed for Success

February 22, 2010

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify an armed robbery suspect who appeared to be dressed more for a job interview, than a robbery.

On February 5, 2010, at around 7 PM, the suspect walked into a business in the 3100 block of Pico Boulevard, brandished a handgun and demanded money.  Once the clerk opened the register the suspect reached into the cash drawer and took the money out, before running from the location.

Surveillance video captured the suspect’s image.  He is described as a Black man, 28-30 years of age, 6 ft., 200 lbs., wearing a gray jacket, red shirt, black tie and pants.  He was well groomed with short hair and trimmed mustache.

Anyone with information on this suspect, or robbery, is asked to contact Olympic Area Robbery Detectives, Detective Sean Kim at 213-382-9493.  During non-business hours or on weekends, calls should be directed to 1-877-LAPD-24-7. Anyone wishing to remain anonymous should call Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477).
