Man Shot to Death in Sun Valley NR12066gb

Los Angeles:  LAPD Foothill Area Homicide Division detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect responsible for killing a 26-year-old man in Sun Valley.

On February 5, 2012, around 11:10 p.m., Foothill Area Patrol Officers responded to a radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon (ADW) in the 9300 block of Tamarack Avenue in Sun Valley.  When they arrived, Officers discovered Travis Solorio, a resident of Sun Valley, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department Rescue Ambulance responded to the scene and transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he died a short time later.

Investigators discovered that the victim and a neighbor had been involved in a dispute.  During the dispute, other parties arrived at the location.  An unknown person pulled out a firearm and shot the victim multiple times.

The suspect and the weapon are outstanding.  The motive for the murder remains unknown at this time.
