Victim Severely Injured by Hit-and-Run Driver Traffic Detectives Seek Leads through Public Assistance NR14048rf

Los Angeles:  Los Angeles Police Department West Traffic Division (WTD) detectives are hoping for public assistance with their investigation of a hit-and-run incident in which a pedestrian was seriously injured.

On January 18, 2014, around 6:50 p.m. a pedestrian was crossing Lincoln Boulevard eastbound from the southwest curb of the intersection at Rose Avenue when the pedestrian was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling east on Rose Avenue and turning southbound onto Lincoln Boulevard.  The suspect continued driving south on Lincoln Boulevard without stopping to render aid or provide identification  as required by law.

The victim, who has been hospitalized, is comatose and listed in critical condition.

Detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the person responsible for hitting the pedestrian.  Anyone with information is urged to contact WTD Detective C.
