34-Year-Old Man Shot to Death in South Los Angeles NR14052sm

South Los Angeles:  Detectives from the Los Angeles Police Department Criminal Gang and Homicide Division are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate the suspect(s) wanted for shooting a man to death.

Today, around 2:00 a.m., 77th Street Patrol officers responded to a radio call of an “ADW shooting” in the 5300 block of south Budlong Avenue.  When they arrived, the officers found 34-year-old Ray Lewis Rice face down suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded and pronounced Mr. Rice dead at the scene.

It is not known how the suspect arrived to the area and how he fled the scene. The weapon and the suspect are outstanding.
