77th Detectives Investigating Kidnap/Sexual Assault Allegation NR14073ne

Los Angeles:  The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) 77th Street Area Sexual Assault Unit,  is investigating a case involving the kidnap and sexual assault of a female victim at the hands of two male Hispanic suspects in their late 20’s.

On Tuesday shortly after midnight, February 18, 2014, the victim was walking in the area of Normandie Avenue and 54th Street, when she was approached by the suspects.  The suspects forced the victim into their vehicle, drove her to a secondary location, and then sexually assaulted her.  At the conclusion of the assault, the suspects became distracted which afforded the victim the opportunity to escape from their vehicle.  Upon the victim’s escape, the suspects then fled from the location.

The suspect(s) are described as two Hispanic males, 5’6” to 5’8”, approximately 27-years of age.  One of the suspects has a tattoo of a tear drop under his left eye.

The suspects’ vehicle is described as a 1990’s blue 4-door compact vehicle.
