Why:
Devonshire Area has implemented the extremely successful and effective Smart Policing Initiative but has applied it toward the reduction of Property Crimes.  Devonshire is experiencing a 23.9 reduction in Part I Property Crime.  Ten of the original 24 prolific property crimes suspects monitored by the Recidivist Extraction Detail are currently in custody.  Even with Devonshire’s recent success, there are areas in which we need the community’s assistance.  Councilman Englander and the Devonshire Area Command staff will highlight the Area’s successes and provide the community with crime prevention / “Hardening the Target” Tips to minimize the potential of becoming a victim of a commercial or personal property crime.
