Hit and Run Traffic Collision Involving a Pedestrian NR09591ne
Los Angeles: Valley Traffic (LAPD) Detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a dark color, possibly a Toyota Corolla with a male Hispanic driver.
On December 19, 2009 at 6:50 pm, a 43-year-old male was crossing the street at Blythe and Lankershim Boulevard when he was hit by a dark color, possibly an older model Toyota Corolla with damage to the windshield, driven by a male Hispanic. The driver left the scene southbound Lankershim Boulevard towards Saticoy Street, failing to render aid and exchange information as required by law.
The victim was transported to a local hospital with severe injuries.
Valley Traffic Detectives reminds all pedestrians and drivers that crosswalks and pedestrian signals are strategically placed throughout the City of Los Angeles to facilitate the safe and orderly movement of vehicles and pedestrian traffic. Always cross at intersections, preferably in marked crosswalks. Do not jaywalk or cross from between parked vehicles.
