Man Attempts to Kidnap Eleven Year Old Girl NR13172ne

Los Angeles: Los Angeles Police Department Foothill Area Detectives are asking for the public’s help in their investigation of an attempt kidnapping in the Tujunga area.

The incident occurred on Sunday, May 26, 2013, around 2 p.m., in the 6600 block of Olcott Street.  The suspect driving a dirty sun faded tan or burnt orange medium sized SUV with torn tan or grey interior seats and large rims and tires followed several young girls who were walking near Mountain View Elementary School.  He waited until one of the girls was alone and offered to give her a ride.  The suspect exited his vehicle and attempted to forcibly place the eleven year old victim into his vehicle.  The victim screamed for help which caused the suspect to release her and flee the scene.

The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his early 40’s, 5 feet 3 inches tall, slender muscular build, dark hair nearly bald with dark eyes.
