Car To Car Shooting Results In Death

Los Angeles: On Saturday May 8, 2004 at 10:56 a.m., Foothill Patrol Officers responded to Nordhoff Street and Osborne Street to investigate a "Shots Fired" radio call. When the officers arrived they observed a vehicle had crashed into a wall on the south side of Osborne Street. Inside the vehicle the officers observed a male that appeared to be the victim of a gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as Yesi Flores Lopez, a 19 year old resident of Pacoima. He was transported to local area hospital where he died while receiving medical treatment.
The investigation has revealed that Lopez was the victim of a car to car shooting. The suspect vehicle is described only as a dark blue older model mini-van with a yellow sticker on the right rear bumper. The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 35-40 years of age, and no further description is available.
