Hate Crime Suspect Arrested

Los Angeles: On Tuesday, April 9, 2002, at approximately 7:00 a.m., Foothill Operation Support Division detectives served an arrest and search warrant for 22 year-old Jeremy Preston MacDonald in the 8800 block of Winnetka Avenue in Northridge. MacDonald was taken into custody without incident. The detectives recovered numerous pieces of "White Supremacist" material at the residence. These items included literature and pictures that depicted association with known White Supremacist groups.
MacDonald was transported and booked at Foothill Jail for 422 PC, Criminal Threats. MacDonald was the suspect in an unprovoked attack on an interracial couple, which occurred on March 21, 2002 near Dronfield Avenue and Hubbard Street in Sylmar. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Hate Crime Unit will be filing the case. MacDonald is being held on a $50,000.00 bail.
