Veteran's Day Task Force results in Numerous Arrests NR10536mg
Los Angeles - More than 100 officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Bureau fanned out across Foothill Area in a two day task force beginning on Veteran’s Day.
On Thursday morning, in a massive takedown utilizing a multi-agency task force, law enforcement officers targeted parole violators and those illegally possessing weapons. The goal of the operation was to make arrests of those violators who were knowingly breaking the law and contributing to overall crime increases in the Foothill communities. Officers checked over 125 locations to conduct parole and probation compliance checks.
As a result of the task force operation, there were 47 arrests, 57 guns seized, thousands of rounds of ammunition secured and $4,100.00 in drug money recovered. Additionally, Officers found two stolen vehicles and closed two chop shops.
This is an ongoing effort in Valley Bureau towards reducing fear of crime in a community.
