7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Where:  
Paxton Street and Hadden Avenue at 7 a.m.
Saticoy Street and Beck Avenue at 9 a.m.
The Paxton Street and Hadden Avenue location is in close proximity to Telfair Elementary School. The Saticoy Street and Beck Avenue location is in close proximity to Camella Elementary School.

Why:     
Valley Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department will be conducting a Pedestrian Crosswalk Safety Enforcement Operation as part of the “Pedestrian and Child Safety Campaign” scheduled for LAPD’s Valley Bureau during the 2011 calendar year.
 
This operation will be conducted in an effort to promote pedestrian safety through traffic enforcement as it pertains to car verses pedestrian violations.  The goal is to improve pedestrian safety by changing dangerous pedestrian and driver behaviors near schools; reducing injuries, death, and property damage associated with car verses pedestrian traffic collisions.
