Woman Found Dead Inside Parked Car NR120101krLos Angeles: Los Angeles Police Detectives are investigating the death of a 37-year-old woman found dead inside a car parked in the driveway of a residence in the city of Burbank.
On Friday, March 2, 2012, at about 7 p.m., Burbank Police and Fire personnel were called to the 500 block of North Sparks Avenue in Burbank to investigate a call of an unresponsive woman inside a parked car in the driveway of a residence. Burbank Police were alerted by the woman’s friend who found the victim, identified as Dorothy Jean McGuire from Tujunga, when she had gone looking for McGuire when she failed to return home after a night out. Investigators from Burbank contacted the Los Angeles Police Department after they determined McGuire had likely died in the Foothill Area.
Foothill Detectives took over the investigation. They obtained and served a search warrant on the house and car where McGuire was found. Their investigation indicated McGuire’s death was the result of foul play, believed to have occurred at a site along La Tuna Canyon Road near the 210 Freeway.
The owner of the house and car, 43-year-old David Perry of Burbank, was booked for murder and is being held on $1 million bail.
The investigation is ongoing and the cause of death will not be determined until the Los Angeles County Coroner’s investigation is completed.
