The Los Angeles County Department of Medical
Examiner-Coroner’s Office has identified the remains recovered
during the search of the affected area to the Mt.Wilson fire. The
body has been identified as that of reported missing person Mathew
Huerta. The victim’s last name was originally printed as Hurtado,
but his correct last name is Huerta.
Sylmar: The Hurtado family and
the Los Angeles Police Department’s Missing Persons Unit are asking
for the public’s help in locating Matthew Hurtado.

Matthew was last seen on October 18, 2017, around 11:30 a.m., in
the 13400 block of Bradley Avenue. Matthew’s family is concerned
for his safety because he is suicidal.

Matthew is described as a male Hispanic with brown hair and brown
eyes. He stands 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, black pants and black
baseball cap.
