Batterers

  • Believes in myths of battering relationship
  • Strong belief in traditional gender roles within the family
  • Blames others for his behavior
  • Pathologically jealous
  • Alternates between violence and being regretful
  • Has severe stress reactions, with which he copes by drinking and battering
