Kids and Drugs
D.A.R.E.
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program goes far beyond traditional drug abuse programs that emphasize drug identification and the harmful effects of drugs and alcohol. These programs warn children not to use these substances, but don’t teach them how to resist the pressures to try them. D.A.R.E. gives children the skills they need to recognize and resist the subtle and overt pressures that cause them to experiment with drugs and alcohol.
