One Dead and One Critically Injured

Los Angeles: On Sunday, February 8, 2004, at about 2:15 p.m., 2 male Hispanics were walking in the 700 block of east "L" Street in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles, when unknown suspect (s) fired several shots at them.
Paramedics treated the victims and took them to a local hospital. The 17 year-old male Hispanic died of his injuries and a 22 year-old male Hispanic was listed in critical condition. The identity of the 17 year-old is being withheld because of his age.
The motive is unknown and there are no suspect descriptions.
